This paper looks at the challenges and benefits of using young adults to provide personal support such as mentoring, tutoring, and employment, to adolescent runaways, drop outs, and the homeless. Based on its research in this area, this paper suggests a framework for future peer initiatives for out-of-mainstream youth.
