This bulletin examines the characteristics of, and types of crimes committed by, offenders who have been incarcerated for the violent victimization of minors.  It finds that the majority of these offenders commit sexual crimes against family members or acquaintances.  Moreover, compared to the general prison population, they are more likely to be older, married, and white.  They are also more likely to have been married and are less likely to reoffend.
