This article discusses the prevalence of sexual assault in the US and examines the role alcohol plays in such offenses. Its research indicates that alcohol produces cognitive deficits, poor reasoning and judgement, decreased motor skills, and increased aggressiveness, and is a significant factor in many cases of sexual assault.
