The purpose of this report is to provide an in-depth analysis of the findings of the 1999 criminal victimization General Social Survey (GSS) and make comparisons to the 1993 GSS results. The survey measured the occurrence of 8 specific offences: sexual assault, robbery, assault, theft of personal property, break and enter, motor vehicle/parts theft, theft of household property and vandalism.
