This paper examines the relationship between juvenile delinquency and future adult criminal behaviour, with the aim of determining whether or not a causal relationship exists between the two. Its findings provide some support for theories of causality, leading the authors to suggest that policies designed to prevent youth crime may effectively reduce overall crime rates.
