This booklet discusses the connection between delinquency, crime prevention, and the family. The research suggests that those children from low-income, single-parent, and dysfunctional homes, as well as those from homes in which there is parental criminality, are at an increased risk for criminal activity. It also emphasizes the benefits and effectiveness of family and community-based programs in preventing and reducing crime and delinquency.
