Using measurements of adult health, economic success, family formation, and incarceration, this study demonstrates that participation in risky behaviours at a young age is associated with less positive outcomes in adulthood.  The authors also provide evidence that family structure and socioeconomic status may afffect participation in, and the long-term outcomes of, adolescent risk-taking.
