This report uses data from the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) to provide information about the prevalence and nature of sexual assault, rape, physical assault, robbery and homicide in the workplace. Gender and race differences are examined, as are occupational differences in the rates of violence. The characteristics of victims and offenders, and the frequency with which these crimes are reported are also discussed.
