This paper examines patterns and trends in the murder of females.  Among other things, this paper demonstrates that the majority of women are killed by an intimate partner, often as the result of a domestic dispute.  It also finds that most women are killed in their own homes, and that unemployed women are more likely to be killed than those who work.
