Men's Financial Expenditures on Genetic Children and Stepchildren from Current and Former Relationships

This study demonstrates that men tend to invest less money in their step-children from former relationships than they do in their biological children.  However, in current relationships that contain both genetic children and step-children, fathers tend to invest similarly in all children.  The authors emphasize that this does not necessarily mean that fathers do not favour their biological children.
