This paper investigates the age, gender, family, behavioural, and mental health characteristics of children in residential group care (RGC) and therapeutic foster care (TFC) programs. It  compares their program and placement experiences, characteristics, and educational, health, and employment outcomes to determine what differences exist between these two types of non-parental care.
