This report highlights trends and patterns in out-of-home care in Canada as a whole, as well as in its provinces and territories individually. It also discusses challenges facing the foster care system, such as finding permanent homes for children, helping youth transition out of care, obtaining sufficient funding, and dealing with children with special needs.
