This article discusses the wide array of internet websites, both commercial and educational, targeted spefically to children and youth.  It expresses concern that educational sites are being overshadowed by sites that bombard children with brand-name advertising and attempt to turn children into consumers at a very young age.  It also suggests ways to deal with this problem and to help promote children's safety and edification on the internet.
