This paper offers an evaluation of family law by way of a summary of survey questionnaires and workshops provided to lawyers and judges involved in divorce and child custody cases. It offers the lawyers' and judges' recommendations regarding legislative reforms, services, or mechanisms that they feel would improve the Federal Child Support Guidelines, and custody and access system so that there will be an increased focus on the best interests of the child.
