This paper investigates several children's daycare group centers in poor countries where resources and finances are lacking. It examines, among other things, their physical environments, the health and safety of the children while at the facilities, the level of community and parental involvement in childrens' care and development in each program, the characteristics and training of daycare workers, and the psychological and cognitive development of children.
