This study explores the possibility of a genetic contribution to children's divorce adjustment by investigating the outcomes of biological and adopted children who experienced their parents' divorce.  It finds that both adopted and biological children whose parents are divorced experienced elevated levels of behavioural problems and substance use, while biological children experienced a drop in school performance and social adjustment.
