This paper examines the social, economic and cultural factors that influence an adolescent girl's decision to either continue with an unplanned pregnancy or have an abortion. It finds that the most influential factors were the girls' own pre-existing views on the issue.  However, the opinion of boyfriends and advice from other close friends and family also helped to shape the decisions.
