This article examines self-report data in regard to adolescent sexual activity in Jamaica, and finds that this method of data collection results in inconsistent reporting, especially among boys. Therefore, the authors feel that using self-report data on sexual activity to evaluate pregnancy and STD interventions may be problematic due to these inconsistencies.
